Main Phases Of Process Management

Process management is itself a process. Main phases of this process are; contemplation, conceptual planning, comprehension and analysis, re-design, preparation, and application.

Contemplation phase: It is, in essence, a pre-preparation. In this phase; processes, individuals responsible for process, and process teams are defined.

Conceptual planning: The aim of the phase is to prioritize processes. For this purpose, all processes within the organization are exposed and those among them which have higher priority are defined.
Comprehension phase: In this phase processes are analysed. At the end of this phase; flow diagrams and maps of processes become available.
Re-design phase: In this phase, processes are re-designed. New flow diagrams and maps are prepared.
Preparation phase: This phase includes all tasks executed prior to application phase. This phase, in essence, explains creation of projects for processes.
Application phase: The phase declares working with a process focus. Processes are observed and then made operative.
